About the HOA

Cross Creek HOA Board of Directors and Officers

The Cross Creek HOA is managed by an outside company, HOA Alabama, and three resident directors elected by the homeowners. The officers of the association are elected by the directors and may include HOA members who are not directors, but the president and treasurer shall be elected from the board of directors.

The board appoints an Architectural Control Committee (ACC) which is responsible for adjudicating issues related to the Covenants and making recommendations to the board of directors on necessary actions to maintain the standards of property usage and aesthetics for the Cross Creek community.

Meetings

Regular board meetings are usually held the first Wednesday of the first month of each quarter (Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct) from 6 to 7pm in the clubhouse. The purpose of these meetings is for the board and officers to discuss and vote on various issues. The Minutes from all meetings can be found on the HOA Reports page and the HOA Alabama portal.

Anyone from the community is welcome to attend, but only the board of directors may vote. If homeowners are present and wish to address the board, up to 15 minutes will be allocated at the beginning of the meeting.

Homeowners are welcome to stay for the entire meeting, or leave after they address the board but comments and questions are restricted so that board members can conduct business in a timely manner.

The annual meeting is usually held in March each year. When a quorum of 50% of the residents are not present at the annual meeting, HOA business cannot be conducted. However, it is a good opportunity for residents to comment on specific issues, discuss concerns and meet other residents.

Welcome Committee

After moving into Cross Creek, new homeowners and renters can anticipate being contacted by the Cross Creek Welcome Committee. This group of volunteers would like to arrange a time to visit with you, at your convenience, to answer any questions you might have and share information about the HOA and the community. They will also present you with a welcome gift from the HOA.

Volunteers Wanted

We have had so many wonderful people contribute their time, efforts, and resources to help our community. The projects are too numerous to mention them all, but they include helping to maintain the clubhouse, Fall and Spring clean-ups and more. We thank all of you.
